Acne Scarring
A structured, clinical pathway for smoother, clearer, more confident skin.
Acne scarring is one of the most common long‑term concerns clients bring to Alba Skin Studio. It often appears long after breakouts have settled, leaving behind uneven texture, indentations, redness, or pigmentation that can affect confidence just as much as active acne.
Acne scarring requires a targeted, staged approach — not a single treatment. Your skin moves through a structured pathway designed to strengthen, correct, and maintain results safely.
Your pathway begins with a consultation
First Appointment: $220 Includes consultation + your first treatment (Milk Peel or two LED sessions).
What is acne scarring?
Acne scarring occurs when inflammation from breakouts disrupts collagen during the healing process. This can lead to:
Atrophic scars (shallow or deeper indentations)
Uneven texture
Post‑inflammatory erythema (red marks)
Post‑inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
General dullness or roughness
These changes sit below the surface, which is why scarring requires collagen‑remodelling and resurfacing treatments rather than breakout‑focused care.
How we treat acne scarring at Alba Skin Studio
LEVEL 1 — PREP & RESTORE (2–4 weeks)
Strengthen the barrier. Calm inflammation. Prepare for deeper work.
Before we begin corrective treatments, the skin must be stable, hydrated, and resilient. This phase ensures your skin can tolerate collagen‑remodelling safely and comfortably.
Includes:
Milk Peel — gentle resurfacing to refine texture and increase treatment tolerance
Dermalux Flex LED — reduces inflammation and supports healing
Timing: every 1–2 weeks
Why this matters: A strong barrier reduces downtime, improves results, and prepares the skin for deeper corrective work.
LEVEL 2 — PIGMENT SUPPORT (Optional, if PIH is present)
Correct post‑inflammatory pigmentation and even the skin tone.
Not all acne scarring is textural. Many clients experience lingering pigmentation or redness long after breakouts have healed.
Includes:
Mela Peel Forte — targeted pigment correction
Milk Peel — light resurfacing
LED — ongoing inflammation support
Timing: every 4–6 weeks
Why this matters: Treating pigment early helps reveal the true texture beneath and prepares the skin for collagen‑remodelling.
LEVEL 3 — COLLAGEN REMODELLING (8–16 weeks)
Stimulate collagen. Refine texture. Soften atrophic scarring.
This is the transformation phase. Treatments are spaced to allow safe collagen remodelling and barrier recovery.
Includes:
Microneedling (1Need Pro) — stimulates collagen to soften atrophic scars
Cosmo Peel 12% — medium‑depth resurfacing for texture refinement
Mela Peel Forte (if pigment is present)
Dermalux Flex LED — supports healing and reduces erythema
Timing:
Microneedling: every 4–6 weeks
Cosmo Peel 12%: every 6–8+ weeks
Mela Peel Forte: every 4–6 weeks
LED: 3–5 days post‑treatment
Important spacing rule
Microneedling and Cosmo Peel are never adjacent. Your skin requires a full healing cycle between these modalities.
This ensures safety, reduces PIH risk, and supports optimal collagen remodelling.
LEVEL 4 — MAINTENANCE (Ongoing)
Maintain clarity, texture, and long‑term skin health.
Once improvement is achieved, maintenance keeps results stable and prevents relapse.
Includes:
Milk Peel
LED
Timing: every 4–8 weeks
Why this matters: Collagen remodelling is cumulative. Maintenance protects your results and supports long‑term skin health.
Expected improvements
Clients typically notice:
Softer, smoother texture
Reduced appearance of atrophic scars
More even tone
Less redness
Healthier, stronger skin
A clearer, more confident complexion
Results build gradually and consistently across the pathway.
Who is suitable for acne scarring treatments?
This pathway is ideal for:
Adults (18+)
Stable skin with no active infection
Clients with textural scarring, PIH, or post‑acne redness
Those ready for a structured, staged approach
If breakouts are still active, we begin with your Congestion & Breakouts pathway first.
Your pathway begins with a consultation
During your consultation, we assess your skin, your goals, and the most appropriate starting point within the four‑level pathway. Together, we build a plan that supports your skin safely, intentionally, and clinically.
Your first appointment includes both your consultation and your first treatment, so you can begin your pathway straight away. After your appointment, we schedule your next steps in‑clinic to ensure each stage is tailored to what your skin needs at the time.

Yes. Your first appointment includes a short consultation followed by your first treatment. Your consultation is complimentary when you begin treatment on the day.
-
Your first treatment will be either a Milk Peel or Dermalux Flex LED, depending on what your skin needs on the day.
If your skin is stable and ready for resurfacing → Milk Peel
If your skin needs calming or barrier support → LED
Both options are part of Level 1 of the Acne Scarring Pathway.
-
Some clients benefit from one or two LED sessions before moving into resurfacing. If this is the case, we’ll discuss it with you during your appointment.
-
Corrective treatments like microneedling and medium‑depth peels require a stable, healthy barrier. Your skin must complete Level 1 before moving into deeper work.
This ensures safety, comfort, and optimal results.
-
Your first appointment is a fixed price of $220, which includes:
Your consultation
Your first treatment (Milk Peel or LED)
And, if your skin needs calming before resurfacing, your second LED session is also included within the $220
